In Belarus, about 30% of companies are innovative

At a meeting of the Belarusian-Syrian commission for cooperation in science and technology, it was told that the share of innovative companies in Belarus in 2022 is about 30%, Minsk-News reported.

Belarus is steadily rising in the innovation index of the World Intellectual Property Organization. At the moment, the country is on the 62nd position. In 2021, Belarus ranked 64th, in 2018 — 86th.

The meeting also discussed issues of bilateral scientific, technical and innovative cooperation. A competition for joint scientific and technical projects for 2023-2024 was also announced.
