In Belarus, the record for indoor pole vault was updated

Belarusian Irina Zhuk has set a new national record for the indoor pole vault, BELTA writes.

The National Olympic Committee of Belarus reported that at the tournament in Lieven, France, Irina conquered a height of 4 m 80 cm. This result earned her a silver medal. The athlete also updated her own national achievement (4.77 m), set two weeks ago also in France.

The winner of the tournament in Lieven was Angelika Sidorova from Russia. The third place took Tokyo Kathy Najott from the USA.

The athletes will go to the World Indoor Championships, which will be held in Belgrade from March 18 to 20.
