In Belarus will be held first school Olympiad on the basics of Orthodox Christianity
The Olympiad will be held on February 26 in the Saints Methodius and Cyrill Institute of Theology of the Belarusian State University, the university reports.
This is the first Olympiad in Belarus on the basics of Orthodox Christian culture for schoolchildren. It will help to involve students in the research activities of the history and culture of Orthodoxy on the territory of Belarus. The contestants will decide to answer questions about the life of Belarusian saints, Orthodox holidays, sacraments and icons, the main biblical stories and temples of Belarus.
The winners will receive diplomas and memorable prizes. Also, a tour of the Institute, the Bible Museum and the Chapel will be organized for all participants on the day of the Olympiad. The application for participation can be sent up to February 23.
