In EAEU countries, the recognition of academic degrees is simplified

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the draft Agreement on mutual recognition of documents on academic degrees, pravo.by writes  with a link to the EAEU website.

The agreement provides for mutual direct recognition of documents on academic degrees issued in the member states, which give the right to carry out professional activities. It will create favorable conditions for the movement of highly qualified workers and the implementation of joint research projects in the EAEU states.

At the moment, in order to recognize academic degrees in the state of employment, it is necessary to undergo the nostrification procedure, which differs in the EAEU countries in terms of complexity and duration. This complicates the movement of highly qualified scientific workers.
