In international trains of Belarusian railways it will be possible to pay with a card along the entire route

According to ej.by, now it will be possible to pay for tea, bed and restaurant car services on international Railways trains with a card, the railway informs on its official website.

Since January, 86 mpos terminals have been installed on international trains. However, the Belarusian Railway warns that payment is only possible if there is a stable mobile connection. So there may be failures.

At the same time, as noted in the Belarusian Railway, until this year, it was possible to pay for services with a bank card only when the train is located on the territory of Belarus. Now payment will be accepted abroad.

Only Visa and MasterCard cards will be allowed to pay in the cars. We don't know about other maps yet. The Belarusian railway says that the appearance of such terminals on international trains is the final stage of the project to equip trains with portable terminals. Belarusian Railways is implementing the project together with JSC "Belarusbank".

First, terminals appeared in trains of interregional and regional lines of business class, then in electric trains and diesels.
