In Minsk, industrial production volume increased in first half of the year

The volume of industrial production in actual prices for January —June 2022 increased by 114.8%, writes Minsk-News. Let us remind you that in July the gold and foreign exchange reserves of Belarus increased by 0.7%.

Production volumes increased due to a significant increase in output in the field of mechanical engineering, electronic equipment and food products. The gross product of Minsk for this period amounted to BYN 28.745 billion. This is almost 33% of the gross domestic product of Belarus.

In addition, innovative products occupied 23% of the total volume of mixed production. This is 2.6% more than in January —June 2021.

We remind you that more than half of Minsk's budget is allocated to education and healthcare.
