In Minsk, more than a third of passengers choose the subway

In 2021, an average of 620 thousand people visited the Minsk metro every day, the Minsk-News agency writes with reference to Minsk Metro.

In 2021, the metro accounted for 37.8% of the total flow of public transport passengers, which is an increase of 1.4% compared to 2020. The annual flow of metro passengers increased by almost 7 million, reaching 226.3 million people.

The busiest stations in 2021 were Kamennaya Gorka (it was visited by 46.9 thousand people per day), Ploschad’ Lenina (39 thousand people) and Uruch’e (37.5 thousand people).

The least passengers were at the stations Ploschad’ Jubileinaya (1.17 thousand people), Ploschad’ Bogusheviha" (1.76 thousand people) and Vokzalnaya (1.9 thousand people).
