Social workers in Minsk serve 4,000 elderly Minsk residents and people with disabilities at home. In 3 years, the number of wards has grown by 14%, the Minsk-News agency writes.

Social workers bring food, medicines, and basic necessities to the wards. They also cook food, clean the apartment and run errands.

In 2020, the social service also began providing a day care service for disabled citizens who have lost the ability to control their behavior, including elderly people with dementia. It is provided both at home and in day care units.
