Index of Belarusians' financial literacy increased

A survey of 1,500 residents of Belarus showed that the financial literacy index of the population increased by 4.4%, BelTA reported.

Since 2020, the index of financial literacy has increased by 4.4%.

On average, 44.3% of Belarusians showed financial literacy, and 65.3% of respondents are aware of the lack of financial knowledge and show a conscious interest in improving their level.

The survey showed that 55.3% have knowledge about personal finance management. Tax literacy is 29.7%.

At the same time, the majority still lack financial planning skills; only 12% of respondents are engaged in financial planning. About 70% are trying to take actions to save money.

At the time of the survey, about 40% of respondents had loans, loans, and debts.
