Inflation in Belarus continues to decline

Inflation in Belarus continues to decline due to the regulation of prices for 500+ goods and products, Sputnik reported. According to government forecasts, the growth of the consumer price index by the end of 2022 should amount to 12-13%.

By September 2022, the inflation index reached 18%, but in the middle of the month, a moratorium on price increases began to take effect, and then price regulation. Thus, deflation was achieved in October.

According to the Prime Minister of Belarus, inflation will decrease to 8% in 2023.
