INNOPROM Belarus Discusses Workforce Development for Industry

Participants at INNOPROM Belarus discussed ways to address the industrial labor shortage through retraining and skills development, Belarus Today notifies.

According to data presented at the session, blue-collar positions account for 26% of vacancies in Belarus, while production roles make up another 13.7%. More than 80% of job seekers are willing to retrain, although most expect employers to cover the cost and provide employment opportunities afterward.

The discussion also focused on how the government, businesses, and workers can share responsibility for workforce training.
