International logistics center to be built near Grodno

They plan to build a logistics center near the airport located 15 kilometers away from Grodno. It will receive and send cargo not only by road, but also by air, Sputnik reported.

The investor plans to invest more than 35 million US dollars in the project. The first stage of construction should be completed by the end of 2025.

They want to build administrative and storage facilities, access roads, parking lots, taxiways for aircraft and a cargo apron on the territory. It is expected that the logistics hub will bring together wholesale and retail trade facilities.

According to the idea, the logistics center should become international. It will attract foreign trading companies to Belarus and increase the activity of local businesses.

It is planned to build a logistics center on the territory of one of the largest long-term construction projects in Grodno. That is the terminal building next to the existing Grodno airport.
