Joint efforts of Belarus and Sweden in the fight against COVID-19

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Makei and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sweden Ann Linde discussed joint approaches to the fight against coronavirus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus reports.

In a telephone conversation, the ministers discussed the current situation in the world in connection with the spread of coronavirus. Anne Linde, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sweden, thanked Belarus and “Belavia” for their assistance in returning Swedish citizens to their homeland. More than 70 people were able to return to their homes. “Belavia” organized an additional flight and gave the biggest airplane to transport passengers to Stockholm.

The representatives of the countries emphasized the importance of making joint decisions in the fight against COVID-19, and also noted the need to deal with the effects of the spread of the pandemic that could affect trade between countries.
