Kazakhstan terminated agreement with Belarus on stabilization of currency exchange rates
The government of Kazakhstan has decided to denounce the agreement with Belarus on the stabilization of the exchange rates of the Kazakhstani tenge and the Belarusian ruble, Sputnik reported.
Representatives of the banking sector in Kazakhstan believe that the regulatory framework of the EAEU is now sufficient, and the denunciation of old bilateral agreements is a technical procedure.
At the moment, the National Bank of Belarus does not comment on the denunciation of the agreement and does not explain whether it will somehow affect the mutual exchange rates of the tenge and the Belarusian ruble in the two countries.
Let us remind you that Belarus has applied to join the BRICS.
