Khondoshko Advances to Artistic Swimming Final at World Championships
Belarusian artistic swimmer Vasilina Khondoshko made a strong debut at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, BelTA reports.
Competing in the solo technical routine qualifier, she scored 254.82 points — the second-highest result of the day — finishing just behind China’s Xu Huiyan.
Athletes from 11 other countries, including Spain and Japan, also advanced to the final, which is scheduled for July 19.
At last year’s World Championships in Doha, Khondoshko narrowly missed a medal in the technical program but earned bronze in the free routine. So far this season, she has claimed six individual medals on the World Cup circuit.
