Kinovek: Belarusian cinema

The Republican film festival "Kinovek" will begin on February 28 throughout Belarus in honor of the centenary of Belarusian cinema, BelTA writes.

It will present more than 30 best films of the Belarusfilm National film studio.

The festival will be held in cities, regional and district centers. In Minsk, it will be at the Pioneer cinema, accompanied by an exhibition on the history of Belarusian cinema.

The first screening will be the restored silent film "The Forest Past", accompanied by a taper.

The festival will last all year and will end on December 11.
