Kupala Theater celebrates its anniversary

September 14, 1920 - 100 years ago - the Kupala Theater began its work. On the occasion of the theater's anniversary, the National Bank issued the coins, tut.by reports.

Coins in honour of the 100th anniversary of the Kupala Theater were issued on September 14 and are legal tender on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. The National Bank issued silver coins with a face value of 20 Belarusian rubles (1,199 pieces) and copper-nickel coins with a face value of 1 Belarusian rubles (2,499 pieces).

The coins depict the logo of the Kupalovsky Theater, as well as the main heroine of the play "Paulinka". Also, the denomination is indicated on the coins. The coins were minted by the Lithuanian Mint. Coins can be used without restrictions as a means of payment.

Until the end of November 2020, the Kupalovsky Theater cancelled all performances and performances.
