Latvia closed Silene border crossing with Belarus

Latvia suspended the operation of the Silene checkpoint on the border with Belarus on September 19, Sputnik reported. Recall that since September 17, Russian cars are no longer allowed to enter Poland from Belarus.

The Latvian portal LSM clarifies that this was done to ensure the inviolability of the border and to prevent illegal migration.

Currently, in Latvia on the border with Belarus, thus, the only working checkpoint remains Patarnieki.
