Launch of a new training project on early cancer diagnosis in Minsk
A new training project was launched at a conference on early cancer diagnosis in Minsk, BelTA writes.
The chief physician of the University Dental Clinic, Oksana Korzun, noted the urgency of this problem and the need to train doctors in the early detection of tumors in the oral cavity and pharynx. The conference was attended by students, teachers of BSMU, practitioners and specialists of the clinic. They passed a lecture and a master class on collecting material for research. The participants were told about the classification and clinical manifestations of precancerous diseases and offered an effective approach to their diagnosis..
The project launched at the conference was developed jointly by the Belarusian State Medical University, the University Dental Clinic and the RSPC of Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N.N.Alexandrov. It is aimed at training medical professionals in the correct sampling of tissues for research and is planned to be extended to all regions of the country.
