Lida has become the cultural capital of Belarus
A solemn concert on the stage of the Palace of culture in Lida launched the Republican campaign "Cultural capital of Belarus-2020", reports belta.by.
During the concert, various episodes of the city's history were presented. The official program was preceded by an exhibition of cultural features and achievements of Lida. It combined the past and present of the city, offering guests an interactive journey through one of its oldest streets.
Also, an envelope with the original stamp "Lida - the cultural capital of Belarus - 2020" was issued for the holiday, which depicts the city's attractions. A commemorative stamp was extinguished with a special thematic stamp.
Lida became the 11th city to receive a prestigious status.
Lida's big scenes schedule is planned until November. Concerts, exhibitions, master classes, plein-airs, especially in the warmer months, will be held almost constantly. Among the highlights are the final round of the national selection for the international competitions "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", as well as traditional competitions of young performers, which have become one of the cultural brands of the district.
