Lighting is being upgraded in Minsk

Major repairs with modernization of outdoor lighting networks at 11 facilities are planned in Minsk in 2022, BELTA writes. Lighting modernization takes place in Minsk annually as part of the energy saving program. Also this year, outdated lamps will be replaced with modern ones, more than 1,500 pieces.

Lamps with gas-discharge sodium lamps are mainly used to illuminate the streets of Minsk. Since 2010, LED lamps have been used, at first experimentally. LEDs are 5-7 times more economical in terms of electricity consumption. They also significantly increase the comfort in the lighting area of drivers and pedestrians.
