Lilac week begins in the botanical garden

From the 16th till 24th of May, the long-awaited week of lilacs will take place in the Central Botanical Garden in Minsk, reports relax.by. Visitors will be able to see more than 200 varieties of lilacs from around the world.

The Central Botanical Garden in Minsk is divided into several thematic sections, in particular, there is an exposition dedicated to lilacs – Lilac Garden. Both Belarusian and foreign types of lilacs of various shapes, colors and sizes are represented in Lilac Garden.

In total, the number of species of lilacs is more than 200 – from various breeders from Holland, USA, Canada, Germany, Russia, Ukraine. Also 23 species of lilac were bred by the Central Botanical Garden itself.

This year, the flower exposition was based on a lilac of French classical selection.

You can visit the exposition in the Central Botanical Garden any time from 10.00 to 21.00 (except, Monday).
