Lithuania adjusted rules for cargo transit through Belarus

When transporting goods in transit through Belarus and Russia, it will be necessary to submit a manufacturer's declaration to Lithuanian customs. The new rules will begin into force on July 3, Sputnik reported.

The list approved by the Lithuanian Customs includes several dozen types of goods. The document must be drawn up by the manufacturer and must confirm:

  1. that the manufacturer knows the seller of the goods produced by him and their buyer in a third country, and that the transaction concluded by them does not raise doubts that the conditions for the application of international sanctions may not be met during its execution;
  2. that the manufacturer knows that the manufactured goods will be transported in transit through the territory of Belarus and (or) the Russian Federation to a third country, and he is sure that during transit the goods will not be resold, processed, stored, transshipped to another type of transport, including with the transfer of a trailer or semi-trailer with the goods (replacement of a tractor);
  3. that the manufacturer knows the end user of the goods produced by him and their final use in a third country and that the manufacturer of the goods is confident that the goods will not be used without compliance with the conditions for the application of international sanctions
