Lyceum of BSU has a record competition among applicants
The State BSU Lyceum in Minsk has a record high competition. In total, 2072 applicants applied for 264 places, Devby.io reported.
At the same time, the highest competition is for math classes with more than 15 people per place. More than 14 people applied for a place in the physics classes.
Last year, the competition for math and physics classes was significantly smaller (5.17 and 4.40 people for one place, respectively).
According to Devby.io there are two factors that have influenced the record number of applicants. One of them is the closure of several lyceums in Minsk. The second factor is that for the first time applicants have the right to apply for two departments at the same time.
BSU has started cooperation with the Vietnamese National University.
