Mammoth remains found in Belarus

Divers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations found the remains of a mammoth in the Besed river in Svetilovichi village, Gomel region, on August 1, Minsk-News reported.

The remains were found by divers. Assuming that the find may be related to an extinct species of mammals, rescuers turned to the specialists of the Gomel Palace Museum. After studying the fragments, the museum staff confirmed the hypothesis.
