"Management of information resources" at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University

In 2025, Francisk Skorina Gomel State University will introduce a new undergraduate program — Information Resource Management, Belarus Today informs.

The course will be offered by the Faculty of Economics and will take four years to complete. Graduates will earn the qualification of Information Systems Manager and Economist.

The program will draw on the expertise of three faculties: Economics, Mathematics and Programming Technologies, and Physics and Information Technologies. The launch of the new specialty responds to the growing demand for professionals with combined skills in economics and information technology.

Future graduates will be equipped to work across various sectors — from industry and energy to healthcare and public administration. Their roles may include managing corporate information systems, leading IT implementation projects, and providing data-driven decision-making support.
