Mandolinissimo at the Belarusian Philharmonic

The Mandolinissimo concert will take place on May 18 at the Grand Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic, according to Minsk-News.

The event will feature the mandolin and guitar orchestra of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, conducted by Dmitry Titov.

The concert’s title references the international Mandolinissimo festival, which brings together performers of traditional instruments from around the world. The program includes works by Sammartini, Stamitz, Sandoval, Dyens, Acquavella, Kuwahara, and Bach and Pelēcis. The latter piece will feature pianist Tatyana Kim as soloist.

The concert is part of the Folk Strings project, aimed at promoting folk instruments such as the domra, mandolin, and guitar.
