MAP has released the first batch of electric buses
Minsk Automobile Plant has released its first electric bus. The novelty belongs to the latest generation of buses. The presentation was held during the exhibition of achievements of Belarusian science and technology, onliner.by reports.
The first batch consists of 10 electric buses. Four of them were transferred to "Minsktrans" in the transport park No. 1. The rest will run on city routes in regional centers.
The dimensions of the electric bus were adapted to the urban environment. Length-12.43 m, width-2.55 m, and height – 3.3 m. The cabin comfortably accommodates more than 70 passengers, 30 of them on the seats. Another 14 seats are provided in the barrier-free zone.
The machines are equipped with batteries with a capacity of 412 ampere-hours. Their charge should be enough for 300 km. The engine is a German ZF CeTrax with a power of 300 kW. It takes less than four hours to fully charge the batteries at maximum current.
A modern interior with a non-contact anti-jamming system and a retractable ramp for people in wheelchairs. All rows of seats are equipped with USB ports. The electric bus has electric heating, which makes it completely eco-friendly. The air conditioner works both for heating and cooling.
Electric buses are painted in the company colors of carriers: yellow - for Minsk, green - for regional centers. The design of the electric bus provided a colorful "hump" on the roof, repeating the silhouette of a bison.
