Marc Chagall exhibition opened in Minsk
The exhibition of Marc Chagall's artworks will last from June 10 to August 28 at the National Center for Contemporary Arts (prasp. Niezalieznasci 47, Minsk), CityDog.io writes. The exposition includes 64 works in the technique of lithography illustrating biblical events before our era. Ticket price is BYN12. Exhibition opening hours: Tuesday–Sunday, from 12PM until 8PM.
Marc Chagall's illustrations of the Bible occupy one of the important places in his work. He began creating these illustrations in the 1930s, and finished after the Second World War.
Also included in the exhibition are 24 works from the series "Windows of Jerusalem". These are sketches of stained glass windows for the synagogue at the hospital in Jerusalem. The works are accompanied by biblical texts that describe each specific plot.
The exhibition also presents the works of more than 20 contemporary Belarusian artists. We remind you that Gastrofest.Vegan will be held in Minsk from June 15 to 29.
