Marc Chagall’s The Walk to Remain in Minsk Until October

Marc Chagall’s The Walk will remain on display at the National Art Museum of Belarus until October, according to Onliner.

The painting, on loan from the Russian Museum, was initially scheduled to leave Minsk on July 6, but the exhibition period has been extended by mutual agreement.

The decision followed talks between the prime ministers of Belarus and Russia. The extension was announced on Chagall’s birthday.

The Walk is being shown in Minsk for the first time and serves as the central exhibit of a project exploring the artist’s work and his connection to Vitebsk.
