Military Academy to Open Enrollment for Female Pilots

In 2026, the Military Academy of Belarus will begin admitting women to its military pilot program, Sputnik notifies.

Two female cadets are expected to enroll for training on both aircraft and helicopters, according to Air Force and Air Defense Commander Major General Andrei Lukyanovich.

The initiative reflects growing opportunities for women in the armed forces and is part of the Year of the Belarusian Woman. Interest in the program is expected to be high.

Women are already building careers in aviation through drone operator training at the military faculty of the Belarusian State Aviation Academy.
