Minimum wage raised in Belarus

In March, they decided to index the minimum wage for the month. Now it is BYN479.83 (approximately $160 at the time of publication of the news, CityDog.io writes with reference to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

The minimum wage is the minimum amount that a full—time employee can be paid, with taxes deducted. At the beginning of the year, it was BYN457.

The increase is due to the raise of consumer prices for goods and services, which was 6.1% in March. Compared to March 2021, prices have increased by almost 16%. This is a record monthly inflation since 2011.
