Minsk residents spend 38% of their income on food

In December last year, the average family in Minsk spent 38.5% of their earnings on buying food, Minsk-News reported.

The average monthly earnings of families in Minsk amounted to 2.27 thousand Belarusian rubles (about 1 thousand US dollars). About 78% or 1.67 thousand Belarusian rubles were spent on food (this is 38% of the total income), payment for services and purchases.

Also, inflation in Belarus amounted to 11% last year.
