Minsk will celebrate the City Day in September

Minsk will celebrate its 955th anniversary on the second Saturday of September, Minsk-News reports. During the holiday weekend, the city will host events that will show its potential from different aspects.

The celebration of the 955th anniversary will begin on September 3 in city's parks. Interactive platforms with contests will be organized there. Concert performances are also planned.

The main celebration of the City Day will take place on September 10, Saturday. Then the International Olympic Day with competitions will be held near the Sports Palace. Various sports will be presented on the site. A half marathon is planned to be held on Sunday.

A gastronomic fest of Belarusian cuisine is planned in Vierchni Horad. Two legendary Belarusian bands, Pesniary and Syabry will perform there.

Festive fireworks will be launched near the Sports Palace at 11PM.
