More than 6.5 million trees were planted in Belarus in 2 weeks
From October 8 to 22, a voluntary campaign was held in Belarus to restore forests affected by severe hurricane events. More than 21 thousand people from all over the country took part in the event, BelTA reported.
Forestry workers and volunteers planted young trees and shrubs in areas of the forest where vegetation was damaged. Forests in the Mogilev region suffered the most.
In total, over 6.5 million trees were planted during the campaign. Mostly pine, birch, spruce and oak were planted.
Let us remind you that the population of Belarusian bison has grown. Now this species can be excluded from the list of protected animals.
