More than BYN1.1 million were collected during clean-up day in Minsk region

More than BYN1.1 million were collected during the clean-up in the Minsk region on April 16, BELTA writes. All these funds will be used for the reconstruction of the Khatyn Memorial Complex. As well as the construction of a new museum on the territory of the complex.

More than 430 thousand people took part in the improvement of territories in Minsk during the clean-up, the Minsk-News agency writes. Cleaning of territories, cleaning of attics and basements in residential buildings, planting of trees and bushes, repair and painting of children's play equipment and other architectural objects were carried out. In total, 3.6 thousand trees and 16 thousand shrubs were planted in Minsk.

In addition, 1.178 thousand hectares of forest and more than 7 million trees have been planted in the Minsk region. Also, 28 recreation areas in the forests have been improved and 3 new ones have been built.
