Most payments in the EAEU are made in national currencies
About 80% of goods and services in the EAEU countries are paid in national currencies, Sputnik reported. The national currency of Belarus occupies about 4% in mutual settlements.
Most of the services and goods in the EAEU countries (Armenia, Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia), as well as in mutual trade, are paid in Russian rubles. Calculations in Belarusian rubles amount to 4%.
The Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) also said that the commission plans to switch to national currencies in contracts. Now calculations are being made in national currencies, but other currencies are indicated in contracts
In this code, the EAEU plans to sign an agreement on a free trade zone with Egypt. In addition, the import duty to the EAEU countries will be reset for about half of Belarusian goods.
