National Bank to block dubious transfers from March 2024

If the bank finds signs of making a money transfer (electronic money) without the consent of the user of the payment service, the operation to be blocked, Sputnik reported.

The signs of a questionable money transfer include:

• when the payment parameters do not correspond to the parameters of payments that this client usually makes (not the usual time, place, device, amount, etc.);
• in case of coincidence of information about the recipient of funds with information from the incident processing system of the National Bank;
• if the information about the device from which the transaction is being attempted matches the information from the incident processing system of the National Bank.

The resolution will enter into force on March 1, 2024.
