New academic year began in Belarus

This year there are more than 1 million school students in Belarus, including 110 thousand first-graders, BelTA reported.

According to the Ministry of Education, the total number of school students is approximately equal to the number of the last year. More than 2.8 thousand public and private schools will operate throughout the country.

More than 238 thousand students will study at 49 universities across the country.
