New exhibition at Mir Castle
In the Mir Castle Complex The exhibition entitled "Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna. The whole life is like on canvas," Belarus Today writes.
The exhibition, which starts on March 21 in the Ivory Hall, is based on letters from Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna to her brother, Emperor Nicholas II, diary entries, memoir literature, as well as photographs, drawings and paintings from her archive.
The exhibition reveals the life of the Grand Duchess through the prism of her epistolary heritage, and also includes original items from the XIX – early XX centuries from the funds of the Mir Castle Complex Museum and the private collection of Igor Surmachevsky. The exhibition will present the charitable activities of the princess, her creative path, as well as her connection with the family of the Prince Svyatopolk-Mirsky, who owned the Mir Castle. The exhibition will run until May 2, 2024.
