New metro stations in Minsk

The new metro stations in Minsk on the third line are more than 80% ready, Sputnik shares.

The Aerodromnaya, Nemorshansky Sad and Slutsky Gostinets metro stations are scheduled to open by the end of the year. Vladimir Kukharev demonstrated to journalists the degree of preparedness of the stations, noting that the Aerodromnaya station is the most advanced in decoration.

These new stations will simplify trips to the city center for residents of various districts. The third line of the Minsk Metro, 16 km long, will consist of 14 stations and connect the city center with the southern and northern districts.

Long-term plans also include the construction of the fourth metro line, a ring of 17 stations, planned for 2035-2040.
