New places for vaccination against Covid-19

The metropolitan clinics are already actively vaccinating people against Covid-19 with Gam-COVID-Vak (Russia) and Vero cell (China). With the arrival of a new batch of vaccines, the number of people will increase significantly, minsknews.by reports. Doctors anticipate this situation and are considering new possible options for vaccination, as clinics will clearly not be enough.

There are already agreements with the administrations of several large retail facilities that will provide space for the organization of large-scale vaccination centers. Volunteers will be involved to work in these points.

In the Sovietski district, even such options as Komarovsky Market and TSUM are considered, and shopping centers are also taken into account. Doctors assure that everything will be done taking into account all the requirements of the sanitary and epidemiological service.

Ekaterina Khomchenko, head of the Epidemiological Department of the Minsk City Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, added that at least 60% of the population, that is, about 1.1 million people, are planned to be vaccinated against coronavirus infection in the capital by the end of 2021.
