New recommendations for children treatment for COVID-19
The Ministry of Health has approved a new edition of recommendations on the specifics of providing medical care to patients under the age of 18 with COVID-19 infection, BELTA reports. The new edition of the recommendations was prepared based on the experience of practical application and analysis of new scientific research.
The new recommendations change the rules for examining children with COVID-19 on an outpatient basis. The recommendations related to specific antiviral drugs in the treatment of COVID-19 and anticoagulant therapy in newborns have also been changed.
Changes have been made to the rules of medical examination of children who have suffered pneumonia and multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with COVID-19 infection. A new section about postcovid syndrome in children has been updated.
