New rules for admission to Belarusian universities

In 2024, the admission campaign to universities in Belarus has been changed, Belarus Today informs.

In particular, new specialties were added, such as "international conflictology", "regional studies and translation activities", "digital marketing", "electronic engineering". Medalists and college graduates with honors can enter without exams, with the exception of specialties such as medical and some legal fields.

This year, a lower threshold for the average score of a college certificate or diploma was set for target students - at least seven points, with some exceptions, such as the areas of "agriculture" and "physical education".

In addition, admission bonuses are provided for lyceum graduates. They can be enrolled without entrance tests in some universities, provided that their certificate marks are not lower than nine points in the subjects of specialized tests and not lower than eight points in all other subjects.
