Nine new schools planned to build in Minsk by 2025

In 2021, three new schools were opened in Minsk — in Leninsky, Pervomaisky and Moskovsky districts. They provided more than 3 thousand places for pupils, the Minsk-News agency writes. In total, eight schools have been built in Minsk over the past 5 years. There will be 9 more until 2025.

Now there are 217 thousand school students in Minsk. On average, the child population increases by 5-7 thousand per year. The state spends BYN2.4 thousand ($750) per year on the education of one student.  In total, more than 18 thousand computers, as well as other technological means, are involved in the educational process.

Schools also have innovative platforms where children can get additional knowledge in physics, chemistry, IT technologies, humanities. There are only 128 such centers in Minsk. There teachers conduct master classes and share their unique experiences.
