No taxes on import of electric cars to Belarus until 2026

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has decided to extend the exemption from customs duties on electric vehicles imported to Belarus. The duties will not be collected until December 31, 2025, BelTA reported.

Exemption from customs duties is granted only to citizens permanently residing in the Republic of Belarus, as well as Armenia, Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is expected that the abolition of the duty in combination with other measures will lead to an increase in demand for electric vehicles in these countries.

Let us remind you that Belarus promises to present its own electric car by the end of 2023.
