Officially: Schengen visa – 35 euros
From the 1st of July, the cost of a Schengen visa for citizens of Belarus will fall down to 35 euros, reports relax.by.
The EU Council approved an agreement with Belarus on visa facilitation and will introduce new visa tariffs from the 1st of July.
At the beginning of 2020, the cost of a Schengen visa was increased up to 80 euros. For six months, the governments of Belarus and the European Union were discussing the decrease in prices for Belarusian citizens. Changes will be applied only to short-term visas.
Finally, all the formalities were completed and the new cost of the Schengen visa was officially approved. In addition to the decrease in price, the list of necessary documents for obtaining a visa will be reduced for Belarusians, as well as the opportunity to get a reusable Schengen visa for a period of 1 year to 5 years will be provided.
The visa review period will be reduced to 10 days, and a number of citizens will have the opportunity to apply for a visa for free.
