One Belarusian eats almost 100 kg of meat a year
The Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus told how much milk, meat, fruits and vegetables Belarusians consume in a year, BelTA reported.
In one year, one Belarusian consumes on average 98 kg of meat, 237 kg of milk, 95 kg of fruit, 170 kg of vegetables, 159 kg of potatoes, about 40 kg of sugar, 18 kg of vegetable oil, 77 kg of bread products. One person receives an average of 3,200 kcal per day, which completely eliminates the possibility of hunger or malnutrition.
Belarus also has a high level of self-sufficiency in basic products: potatoes and vegetables - 100%, meat - 134%, milk - 263%, sugar - 154%, vegetable oil - more than 200%.
According to new data, in 2022, Belarusians' spending on travel decreased.
