Online map of 218 preserved mosaics created in Navapolatsk

The scientists from the Museum of History and Culture in Navapolatsk compiled a catalog of 218 mosaics preserved in the city. Their locations are marked on an interactive map, it is reported on a museum's social account.

In total, 218 mosaics can be found on the map, most of them were created in the 1970s. The link to the map is here.

According to the scientists, mosaics came to Belarus in the Middle Ages together with Byzantine masters from the Mediterranean. Navapolatsk is the "pearl of mosaic art in Belarus".
