Photo exhibition in support of people with mental disorders to be held in Minsk

Where: Minsk, National Center for Contemporary Arts (Nekrasova str. 3).

When: from March 4 to April 4.

Tickets can be purchased on the spot, the cost is BYN6.

 

The opening of the photo exhibition "Out of Darkness", which will help overcome prejudice against people with mental disorders, will take place on March 4 at 6 pm, the Minsk-News agency writes.  

The exhibition will feature 18 portrait photographs of people with schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, depression, anxiety disorder.

Other events will be held during the exhibition:

  • March 10 at 6pm – Conflict management training (method of nonviolent communication);
  • March 17 at 6 pm – watching the Crazy love movie and a discussion with a psychologist;
  • March 24 at 6 pm – Live Library project with the heroes of the photo project "Out of the dark".

The photo project "Out of Darkness" was created in support of the Minsk Open Soul Club House, which helps people with mental illnesses to return to an active life in society and to work.
